Review of an amazing Canadian whisky

Shelter Point The Forbidden. 47% ABV no chill filtration and all natural colour. Awesome so far!

Nose – I get a really nice warm vanilla with a sweet honey note off the top. There is a fresh fruit, I’d say fresh pears 🍐. There there is a small farm notes with little sour at the end. A really nice nose! 15/20

Palate – instant sweet wheat 🌾 with that farm note still lightly in the background. Ginger… lots of ginger with this one. Again some pears 🍐 with some hints of caramel and vanilla. Very nice! 38/50

Finish – the finish is a medium finish that is a bit drying to me. There is a little spiciness to it and a note of sour which I do like. 14/20.

Brand – love the bottle for this one. Perfect! 5/5

Value – I picked this up at around the $80-85 CAD which I think is good fair value for what you get. 3/5

Overall – another great adventure worthy dram from Shelter Point, I recommend this one on your next adventure at home or in the mountains.
