This is a brand that admittedly I don’t have a lot of experience with but every time I do have it, I am absolutely blow away! And “spoiler alert” this one is no different and does not disappoint.
Specs – this comes in at 46.3% and is non-chill filtered and I’m pretty sure it’s natural coloured as well. Let me know if I got the wrong.
Nose – right away I get some sweet and sour on the nose. Vanilla with some oak spice. Then there’s a nice malty honey with just a hint of a lactic sour that I love. Some raisins with a little apricot. A really great nose! 17/20
Palate – lemon ginger on the first try. Then it opens up to some oranges, tartness with the apricots again come through from the nose. There is a little hint of sour, cheese, lactic note again and I’m loving that part. Finally a little butterscotch fudge. Amazing palate. 44/50
Finish – medium to long finish on this one. Oily and rich with a nice floral note. A little peppery and baking spices too. Then leaves with that beautiful sweet and sour note. 17/20
Bottle – I love the simplicity of this design. Typography is great and I’m a fan of their logo. Almost perfect 4/5
Value – I believe you can pick this up for $150~160 CAD. i got this on sale for around $120 in June. I mean come on! Even at regular price this is one hell of a deal! Value is a perfect on this one 5/5
Overall – this is a highly recommended underrated value amazing dram! I hope this remains at this quality and if it does I will be buying this for years to come! This is 💯 adventurer worthy!
