Welcome to the Repo Room (pronounced reh-po), our very own home speakeasy. Why is it called the Repo Room? Well, the name came from when we first got into sipping spirits – waaaay before we were even into whisky. We started our journey with tequila, and once we started getting a collection of amazing tequilas we wanted a cool place to display them. Trevor was on a mission and started building our speakeasy in a space that was under utilitzed and just meant for storage. Without having any name for it in mind, it wasn't until we were finished building - version 1 of the room (many iterations were to come) – sitting and enjoying a tequila looking around in the new space, it came to us. When someone asked what Reposado meant - we explained that it meant "rested" in Spanish. That’s where the idea for the room came from. We go to the room to relax and "rest" so why not call it the Reposado Room, the rested room. That name was a little bit long and eventually it was shortened to Repo Room.
That was years ago now, and we've since moved on to the world of whisky. We talked about changing the name, but it is always what we call it now. Family and friends ask to hang out in the "Repo Room" so the name has stuck and will be called that for the years to come. There is something nice in keeping that name with the reminder of where our journey started… tequila.
But of Course
Adventures run on
All sorts of
Whisky
The Repo Room has gone through many evolutions through the years as we explore more whisky, and spirits in general, the room changes to adapt to that stage of the journey. Suzy is convinced that Trevor will always find new ways to envision the space and renovate it so it will never be "complete". It’s as much fun to renovate and reimagine the space as it is to explore the fine sipping spirits stored in the room. Can’t wait to see what is next.
The room has become a gathering place for our friends and family who visit. It doesn't matter who is visiting or what the topic or reason for the visit, we always seem to end up in The Repo Room having great conversations. The space seems to demand it.
That is what we always hoped this room would have become, a meeting place for our people. We have now started a small local whisky club and meet once a month, and of course it’s always in the Repo Room.
